Asus ZenPad Z8 launched with Snapdragon 650

Asus ZenPad Z8Asus has launched yet another ZenPad, dubbed as the Asus ZenPad Z8. The tablet has been priced at $249.99 and is now available for pre-order via Verizon Wireless online.

The Asus ZenPad Z8 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ZenUI skinned on top. The device features a 7.9 inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The ZenPad Z8 is powered by a 64-bit hexacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor with Adreno 510 GPU and 2 GB of RAM. The device comes with 16 GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card.

Commenting on the new ZenPad, Benson Lin, corporate vice president and general manager for mobile communications, ASUS, said,”ASUS is excited to launch the Z8 with Verizon. The ZenPad Z8 features a 8 MP primary camera and a 2 MP front camera. The device features dual front-facing stereo speakers offering DTS-HD sound.

The Z8 is powered by a 4680 mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Glonass and USB Type-C port.
