[CES 2015] Sennheiser announce wide range of headphones

At CES 2015, Sennheiser, a pioneer in audio equipment, has announced handful of new headphones/headsets. While MOMENTUM lineup got two wireless headphones, URBANITE XL gets a Bluetooth variant and a new RS range of wireless headphones is announced, targeting home audio buyers. Sennheiser has also launched a new line up of sports headphones.

“We’re excited to be launching brilliant new headphones that truly embody our pursuit of perfect sound,” said Maurice Quarré, Director Product Lifecycle Management at Sennheiser Consumer Electronics. “CES is one of the most important showcases for innovation and Sennheiser is at the forefront with products that set the listener free to enjoy great sound through the latest wireless technologies and advanced designs for sports.”

MOMENTUM Wireless and MOMENTUM On-Ear Wireless headphones are added to MOMENTUM family and both the new headphones come with buil-in NFC chip and active noise cancellation. Battery life is rated at 22 hours.

URBANITE XL Wireless headphone is a new wireless headset supporting Bluetooth 4.0. The right ear cup will have a built-in touch sensitive surface panel that can be used to control volume, music playback and make calls using (optional) in-line microphone.

The brand new RS line is a premium line up of digital wireless headphones. RS195 is a high-performing headphone that comes with dedicated pre-sets, produces perfect unaltered sound. RS185 has open-aural design and is meant for producing unaltered sound. RS175 provides various virtual surround sound modes and comes with dynamic bass enhancement. RS165 is the basic model in the series that offers great audio quality and dynamic bass boost setting.

Sports headphone range is another new lineup of headphones that is meant for use during work-out sessions. MX 686 Sports and PMX 686 SPORTS have open-aural design that does not drain external sound and this helps runners and those who work-out in outside environment to be aware of the surroundings. CX686 Sports and OCX 686 Sports on the other hand come with closed ear-canal design and are meant for indoor work-out sessions.
