Motorola Moto G 2013 is now receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in India

Motorola has begun pushing out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to the first-gen Moto G in India. The company has been really fast with its updates so far and they’re being true to that.

Android 5.0 Lollipop brings a lot of changes to the UI and the under-the-hood aspects of Android. Motorola has posted a neat overview of the changes on its website.

Motorola will notify you about the update, and when you get the notification, tap on “Yes, I’m in” and let the phone download the update. You can manually look for the update as well – go into Settings, About Phone, System Updates and let it check for updates. Tap on “Yes, I’m in” to confirm and let it download the update files. After the update, your phone should be running on software version 220.21.16.

Before Motorola, Samsung and LG have started rolling out Lollipop to a select few users in Poland and a couple of other European countries. However, this Moto G Lollipop rollout is much wider, and is the release version.
