Color OS 5.2 : How to enable Assistive Ball

Assistive Ball feature helps you access some of phone’s features by clicking on the on-screen ball. The assistive ball can be used in place of tactile buttons to take screenshot, access notification center etc. You can access our full list of guides for Oppo Color OS 5.2 in this page.

Assistive Ball lets you perform a wide range of features:

  • Return to upper page
  • Go to the Home screen
  • View recent tasks
  • Open Notification Center
  • Lock the screen
  • Enter One-hand Mode
  • Take a screenshot

Go to Settings application.

Go to [Smart & Convenient] > [Assistive Ball], then choose a mode:

Gesture Operations. You can use gestures on the assistive ball, like single tap, double tap, or long press and assign actions to each of them. For example, you can assign “Home” to “Touch and hold”.

Tap Menu. When you tap five shortcuts will be visible. Click on the shortcut to perform that action.

The ball icon can be moved to any place on the display. To change transparency of the icon, go to [Settings] > [Smart & Convenient] > [Assistive Ball], drag the transparency slider. To hide the icon when in full screen mode, go to [Settings] > [Smart & Convenient] > [Assistive Ball] and turn on [Hide Ball Automatically in Full screen]. In this mode, swipe down from bottom of screen to make the assitive ball visible.
