Xiaomi Mi TV4 launched in India – Here is everything you need to know

At the launch event of the Redmi Note 5 series, Xiaomi dropped in a surprise package for India. Xiaomi launched the Mi TV 4. Ever since I saw the first generation of Mi TV, I felt that it is a product that is ahead of its times. Unfortunately, Xiaomi was never able to bring it to India. But now, they have finally launched the 4th generation Mi TV in India and I still feel that it is light years ahead of its competitors.

Here is everything you need to know about the Mi TV 4

Mi TV 4 was launched at the CES 2018. It was a head turner at the show due to its ultra-thin display. The nearly truly bezel-less frame of the TV is just 4.9 mm thin. The Mi TV 4 is an aesthetic elegance that is all set to change the looks of your living room.

It has Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound filling the room from the soundbar. The MI TV Bar also comes with a Surround speaker and Satellite speaker. It is an Android Based TV and it runs on a Patch Wall algorithm supporting Artificial Intelligence and Deep learning. It leans your likes based on the program you watch and suggests content to watch.

It runs on Amlogic T962 Cortex A53 Quad Core 1.5GHz processor and a Mali-450 MP5 Graphics processor. The 49 inch is a Full HD HDR panel while the 55 and 65-inch models are 4K HDR panels. Xiaomi has launched the 55 inch variant in India. It has 2 GB RAM and 8 GB of internal storage.

It has two HDMI ports (including one ARC), one AV, DTMB, 2 x USB 2.0, Ethernet and Optical S/PDIF port at the back. It also has Bluetooth 4.0. As this is a smart home product, it will speak to all other Xiaomi Smart home products and can be controlled by the Mi Home application.

Xiaomi has partnered with Hotstar, sunnxt, voot, FLICKSTREE, SonyLiv, hungama, Zee 5 and many more for content on the Mi Tv4.

It is priced at Rs 39999
