Chat with Mr Sahil Bhagat of Vebbler
I noticed a tweet which talked about a new innovative social camera app, on my timeline, and it caught my attention. There are loads of social photo sharing app in the market and a few biggies are ruling it. But this app, Vebbler, caught my attention because they called it the social camera. Eventually I looked up and connected with the team and founder of Vebber, the social camera app. As I walked into the office, I found the team to be as vibrant as their office. As we sat down to talk about the company and the product, I realized that Vebbler is an interesting idea. Vebbler has got a lot to offer to its user and it promises a good user experience. Vebbler strives to change the way we share photos and collaborate moments.

Vebbler looks good and it promises simple user path while using it. Vebbler wants to be the default camera app on your mobile, leveraging the power of your mobile’s native camera. Photos clicked with Vebbler can be seamless shared with selected friends or groups in real-time. It will be available for both Android and iOS mobiles. When I had a chat with Google last year, I realized that among the top 1000 mobile apps, only a handful of apps are from India. Vebber could easily be one.
Mr Sahil Bhagat and his team recently moved to Bangalore. Let’s hear from Sahil about his thoughts and Vebbler.
Welcome to Bangalore. How do you like it so far? How is working out of Bangalore different from Mumbai?
The shift to Bangalore has been challenging, yet very exciting. Apart from the weather that has been considerably better than Mumbai, we have managed to find a great work space, build a great team and get an opportunity to work more closely with the investors. For a product like ours, Bangalore is a better place in terms of talent acquisition, technology developments and overall access to the startup ecosystem.
In this crowd of startups, how is Vebbler going to make a difference? How will Vebbler bring about a difference in the lives of people and what is the value add you are bringing to my mobile?
If you’ve ever struggled to get or share photos with friends at any event, Vebbler is going to change that forever. We’re working relentlessly to bring you a product that solves the photo collaboration problem better than any competitor. This is such a huge social problem and pain-point especially among the younger generation and until now there is no solution to effectively address it. Vebbler will fill that gap and make photo sharing easy and convenient with just a click.
Tell us about your team in Bangalore.
We are currently a team of 20 members, working on Android, iOS, API, design, marketing and digital. Most of the team members are under 30 and have previously worked with one or more startups and they all come with immense knowledge of the industry we belong too and are dedicated, passionate, extremely talented and equally excited to put up a revolutionary App out to the people.
