This speaker from JBL should be worn around neck

JBL has just made a new kind of wearable device that you wear around your neck. Named Soundgear, the speakers delivers audio and can let you take calls, thanks to built in microphone. This JBL speaker connects to phone etc using Bluetooth. Priced at Rs.14,999/-, the JBL Soundgear is officially released in India and is available in online and offline stores. It does look weird though, wearing such a device around your neck.

The JBL Soundgear comes with an 800mAh battery and the speaker can stay on for 6 hours. The best part is that the dual microphones support conferencing system and will mask out echo and the Soundgear has active noise cancellation. The Soundgear weighs 350 grams and so it should not feel heavy around the neck. If you are someone who carry laptop back pack wherever you go, this wont even be felt around your neck.

“JBL Soundgear gives users the freedom to experience audio in a completely new way. No matter the activity, users can create their own personal sound zone without the closed-off feeling of a headphone. Whether doing house or office work, engaging in virtual reality or watching a movie from a tablet, JBL Soundgear empowers users to create their very own listening environment while staying connected to their surroundings,” said Sumit Chauhan, Vice President, Lifestyle Audio, Harman India.
