Lenovo VIBE S1 is the new Android smartphone from the Chinese electronic giant with dual front facing cameras to capture creative selfies. VIBE S1 comes with curved glass rear panel and will be available from the month of November in select countries. At launch, the VIBE S1 will be priced at $299 and will be available in Pearl White and Midnight Blue color options.
The 8mp front facing camera is the prime camera for selfies while the second 2mp front camera analyzes the depth of field data to create human binocular like vision. Once a selfie image is captures, various editing options are available that make use of data from both cameras. For example: ‘Blur’ allows refocusing anywhere on the seflie (up to 3 focal plains) or adding a ‘bokeh’ effect to the background to stylize a selfie or simply to get rid of a photo bomber. With ‘Cut Out’, people can be cropped out of a selfie and then placed on any other image.
The Lenovo VIBE Xtension™ plug-in selfie flash will be compatible with the VIBE S1 smartphone and this gives superior quality selfies under low light conditions. The 13mp rear camera on the other hand comes with phase detection auto focus for very fast focus speed.
