Logitech K780 multi device keyboard announced

Logitech K780 is a new multi device keyboard that can connect to 3 different devices at the same time via Bluetooth wireless. Priced at $79.99, the Logitech K780 is available in USA this week. We had earlier reviewed K480 (model that will be replaced by K780) and were very impressed with the capabilities of multi device keyboards. You can read our review of K480 here.

Compared to the K480, the K780 comes with a 10-key pad that works well with smartphones and tablets too. Instead of a dial, Logitech has now included a Easy-Switch buttons to make it easier to switch between devices. The keys re now nearly quiet and more responsive. Logitech has moved from rounded square key shape to circular keys resembling those on a type writer. K480 supported up to 10″ tablets but the K780 can hold a 12″ iPad Pro without any wobble.

Logitech has also increased the battery life. Now, the K780 can work for up to 24 months on single set of dual AAA batteries. The integrated cradle looks much better and can move the tablet base a bit deeper giving more stability. K780 comes with 128-bit AES encryption between the keyboard and the connecting device. Logitech K780 is compatible with iOS, Android, Windows, Mac OS X, Chrome OS.

“When it comes to typing we can create a document quickly and comfortably on the computer, but when answering a text message on the phone we’re limited to what our two thumbs can do,” said Art O Gnimh, global director of keyboards at Logitech. “Now with the K780 Multi-Device, you can type comfortably at desktop speed on all the devices that you use at your desk, seamlessly switching between them with the touch of a button.”
