Meizu Pro 5 is the new flagship from Chinese smartphone maker
Meizu has announced the new flagship device, Pro 5 (supposed to be MX Pro 5 but Meizu dropped MX out of flagship series). Pro 5 is powered by Exynos 7420 chipset and comes with 5.7” Super AMOLED 1080p resolution display. The Pro 5 goes on sale from 12th of October and comes in two variants. The variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage costs $430 and the variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage costs $490.
Meizu Pro 5 is the first non-Samsung smartphone that is powered by Exynos 7420 chipset and not many comes with Super AMOLED display without Samsung branding. Meizu Pro 5 comes with reversible USB Type C port. Users can expand storage using microSD card, the 21mp rear camera has Sony IMX230 sensor and there is a 5mp front facing camera. The battery is 3050mAh in size and thanks to quick charging, battery can hit 65% in 30 minutes. Meizu’s Flyme 5 with Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-loaded on Pro 5.
