Nokia 6 smartphone officially announced, coming at affordable price

The king of smartphones is back in the game. Nokia 6 is a new smartphones, made by HMD, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430. The Nokia 6 comes with a 5.5″ FullHD display and 4GB of RAM. Priced at 1699 CNY ($245), the Nokia 6 will be available in China soon (through JD.com) and will be available  in other markets later this year. There are very very few brands that create excitement in the industry and Nokia is one of such brands that still enjoy cult status. We, at GadgetDetail are very very excited to get out hands on and we will try to get a review as soon as we can get hold of this phone.

When it comes to mobile phones, Nokia still has a special place in everyone’s heart. After leaving smartphone arena few years ago, Nokia left  huge void, be it design or reliability or brand value. Many have been eagerly waiting for the brand to return to smartphone industry and the wait is over now. The best part is that this will be a midrange or budget phone so that those who love to get one do not have to shell out huge money.

The Nokia 6 is made out of a solid block of 6000 series aluminium, gets two separate anodizing processes and each build takes 10 hours to complete. The 5.5″ 1080p display comes with 2.5D Gorilla Glass top layer. As with previous Nokia smartphones, the Nokia 6 display stack is laminated without any gaps to have highest level of outdoor readability.

The 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage will be more than enough for day to day usage. Nokia 6 comes with dual amplifiers to deliver higher voice, deeper bass and crystal clear audio. Nokia 6 will support Dolby Atmos.

Coming to optics, there is a 16mp rear camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus, f/2.0 aperture. The front camera is rated at 8mp.
