ONMO, a new consumer brand from OnMobile unveiled

OnMobile has over 1.5 billion mobile user base across the world. OnMobile, headquartered in Bangalore, announced a suite of apps under its new consumer brand, ONMO. In an extravagant event in Bangalore, OnMobile introduced their new brand, ONMO and showcased a few music oriented apps. This is a new strategy the company is venturing into. Nurturing its existing strong market penetration and host of partnerships, OnMobile plans to engage with consumers directly with ONMO’s suite of apps and services.

The team at OnMobile has been working on the concepts for over two years and now they are ready for the market. OnMobile has invested significantly in core technology, product development, processes and people to get ready to serve consumers directly. They have reach of 1.5 billion mobile users, globally and they plan to tap this potential to deliver “experiences” directly to the users via their apps and services.

Speaking at the event, Rajiv Pancholy, MD & CEO of OnMobile Global Limited, said, ” ‘’Today is a very special day for OnMobile. We have just started a revolution which will change the way people think of sound based communication. We have launched our own consumer brand, which will symbolize the sound of connection between billions of people across the globe. Offered under  this new identity, our new generation of Apps will enable consumers to express themselves, discover, and create new audio, using the power of sound in a manner never done before. It is with great anticipation and excitement that I look forward to the next phase of growth of the company.”

At the end of the event, ONMO apps were on demo. Though the apps have not been launched in the market, they looked promising with the innovative ideas and intuitive user experience. They had apps to discover music, personalize your mobile experience with music and personalize your social media presence with music. These apps were free-mium applications and I am definitely excited to try them out when they are launched in the market soon.
