Lava X50 Plus With 4G VoLTE, 5.5 Inch Display Launched For Rs. 9,199

Lava X50 Plus was launched silently by the Indian company today. The soft launch was spotted on the company’s official website, showing off the detailed specs as well as the price of the X50 Plus. The phone comes with a 5.5 inch HD display and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Lava X50 Plus Specifications

The Lava X50 Plus comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. It runs on a fairly stock version of Android with minimal modifications to the user interface.

The phone comes with a 5.5 inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, giving you a pixel density of ~267 PPI. It is not quite adequate, and is pretty low compared to the competition – the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 comes with a full HD display, for example. Lava has used a metallic unibody design for the smartphone, with a curved back and NCVM coating for better handling and looks.

Coming to other specs, the Lava X50 Plus comes with an unnamed 1.3 GHz quad core processor. In terms of memory, you get 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. There’s a provision to expand the internal storage using a microSD card up to 32 GB.

Talking about the cameras, you get an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and support for 1080p recording at 30 FPS. The rear camera comes with a pixel size of 1.14µm. On the front, you get a 5 MP camera with an LED flash for improved low light captures.

In terms of connectivity, the Lava X50 Plus comes with dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Surprisingly enough, the phone does not come with a fingerprint sensor. It is powered by a 2800 mAh battery.

Pricing And Availability

Lava has priced the X50 Plus at Rs. 9,199 on its website. The phone will come in Gold and White, and Blue colours. While no specific details about the availability are known yet, it is expected to be available on sale in the coming days.
