Poco X2 is just around the corner

Recently Poco became an independent brand giving a positive confirmation that this spin-off brand is still alive and has plans for 2020 in India. Today Poco India has confirmed on social media that they will be launching a mobile called Poco X2. While Xiaomi also has rock solid contender in the flagship killer segment, the Redmi Pro, Poco may not bring a a mobile powered by Snapdragon 855 yet. Redmi K20 Pro has done well for the brand and it has been appreciated by the buyers as well. Many in the industry speculate that the Poco X2 will be a rebranded Redmi K30, which was launched in China. Here are some key specifications of the Redmi K30.

Redmi K30 Specifications

  • Glass body mobile
  • IPS LCD Screen with 120 Hz refresh rate
  • 64 MP Sony 686 sensor primary camera
  • Quad Camera – Rear
  • Dual camera – Front (Punch hole notch)
  • 3.5mm jack
  • 4500 mAh battery
  • 27W Fast Charger
Redmi K30

Xiaomi already sells the 27 W charger in India and this could be the charger that is bundled with the mobile, if Poco rebrands Redmi K30 as Poco X2. They have also confirmed that the mobile will have a display with high refresh rate and a camera sensor coded as 6×6. While all this indicate a rebranded Redmi K30, the thermal cooling solution image reveals a dual camera. So we are not yet sure if the K30 is the one that will come as Poco X2.

Pricing will also be very interesting. Xiaomi received a huge backlash with its Redmi K20 pricing. They are a brand who openly admit their mistakes and take steps to amend it. I am sure Poco X2 will be priced competitively and if that is true, it will become difficult for other mobile manufacturers to come up with mobile displays less than 90 Hz in the Indian market. It is a good time to be a consumer in India. We are looking forward to Poco X2, just like you and the rest of the world.
