Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 gets CAT9 LTE support with 450Mbps download speeds

Qualcomm Technologies announced that Snapdragon 810, the new SoC to power high end smart devices will come with support for LTE Category 9 connectivity. AT a demo, LTE-Advanced modem was able to attain download speeds of up to 450Mbps over three 20MHz LTE carriers. Given that Snapdragon 810 comes with powerful CPU and GPU and with 64-bit architecture, this new addition should help Qualcomm go head on against Nvidia’s Kepler K1 SoC which is currently the chip to beat. Snapdragon with Cat-9 LTE will be available in early 2015.
