Sony α99 II D-SLR released in India
Sony α99 II, the top of the line full frame D-SLR Single-Lens Translucent camera is officially released in India. Priced at Rs. 2,49,990, The α99 II is available for purchase from Sony online and offline stores. The α99 II delivers the best performance in A-mount camera, thanks to 42.4mp back illuminated full frame CMOS sensor, 5-axis image stabilization, 79-point Hybrid Cross AF. The Sony α99 II comes with 42.4mp back-illuminated CMOS sensor that supports wide ISO range of 100-25600 and can be expanded to ISO 50-10240010. Thanks to the back-illuminated sensor, AR coating and gapless on-chip design, the α99 II has improved light collection efficiency and uniform light penetration.
Sony has added “5-axis SteadyShot INSIDE” image stabilization that is optimized to match the 42.4mp sensor. This helps in reducing camera shake blur while moving or when zoomed in on a distant object. This combined with 79 point Hybrid Phase Detection AF (translucent mirror tech) should help get images with high detail, reducing blur and out of focus objects when photos are taken in a hurry. Sony α99 II also supports 12fps continuous shooting. The 399 point focal-plane AF sensor kicks in when wider coverage is needed. The 79 point PDAF sensor handles horizontal detection, the 399 point focal plane PDAF handles vertical detection.
The Sony α99 II can record movies in 4K resolution and images can be captures in Super 35mm size frame. The movies too can be recorded in Super 35mm format in 4K resolution.
