Latitude 5000

Dell has recently unveiled its newly refreshed Latitude 5000 Series notebooks which are going to be launched at the CES 2016. The company is offering its new Latitude 5000 series notebooks in two sizes: a 14-inch one (E5470) and a 15-inch one (E5570). The refreshed Latitude 5000 series notebooks come with improved battery and feature 6th-generation Intel quad-core processors.

The new Latitude is up to 27% thinner and up to 18% lighter than the previous generation making it ideal for outdoor use. Dell is offering a HD display for both of the size variants but you can also get a FHD display with touch on these devices. The 14-inch variant is also available with HD+ display. The new Latitude 5000 devices offer up to 17 hours of battery life. The devices have carbon fiber reinforced polymer and have gone through multiple military-grade tests to ensure the Latitude 5000 laptops are built to last.

In addition to Dell’s own encryption, malware protection, and authentication options that are optimized for Dell devices, the Latitude 5000 Series offers an additional credential storage layer with optional integrated smartcard and touch fingerprint readers that isolate secure operations through Dell ControlVault. This tool processes and stores critical authentication data on a separate chip, providing a protective and more secure boundary, reducing the risk of malware accessing private information
