HTC 10 launched in India at Rs. 52,990

HTC 10HTC has launched its flaghip device, the HTC 10 in India at an event in New Delhi. It will be available in Carbon Grey and Topaz Gold color options, at Rs. 52,990. HTC has said that the first 500 buyers will get a transparent Ice View case for free

The HTC 10 runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 with HTC Sense UI skinned on top. The device will be upgraded to Android N this year. The device comes with a full metal body with a lot of changes compared to its predecessor.

The HTC 10 features a 5.2-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) Super LCD 5 display which the company claims is up to 30 percent more colorful, and 50 percent more responsive than the earlier devices.

The HTC 10 is powered by  a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 2 TB via microSD card. Earlier, a lot of people were angry when only the Snapdragon 652 powered Lifestyle variant was listed on the Indian website.

The HTC 10 features a 12-Ultrapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), laser auto-focus,  4K video recording and f/1.8 aperture. It comes with features such as Pro mode, Auto HDR, HTC Zoe, hyperlapse and slow motion mode. The device sports a 5-megapixel auto-focus secondary camera with f/1.8 aperture, optical image stabilization (OIS), auto HDR and ultra-wide angle lens. It is the first device whose secondary camera comes with OIS.

The device is powered by a 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. It features a fingerprint sensor, which is embedded in the Home Button.

Like other HTC flasgships, the HTC 10 comes with BoomSound speakers Hi-Fi edition with Dolby Audio support. It is the first device to come with stereo 24-bit Hi-Res audio recording capabilities which can capture up to 256 times more detail than standard recordings.

Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE support, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and USB Type-C port.
