Windows 10 gains, claims 9% marketshare in November 2015

As Microsoft continues to roll out the Windows 10 update to its users worldwide, several reports have been pointing at an increase in the marketshare of the latest Windows operating system. Today, Net Applications, a research firm that monitors usage of different operating systems, revealed that Windows 10 continues to grow.

Standing at 9% in November 2015, the latest Windows 10 update brings several improvements, bug fixes and massive performance improvements across the board. Microsoft had fixed several key issues that Windows 8 users had talked about, bringing back some of the “true desktop” experience and the Start Menu. The rapid growth that Windows 10 is now seeing goes on to show that Microsoft has made the right moves this time around.

As far as standing goes, Windows 10 continues to be at number 4, behind Windows 7 at 56.11%, Windows 8.1 at 11.5% and Windows XP at 10.58%. Windows 10 is the biggest gainer, gaining 1.06 points with Windows 8.1 coming in at the second place with a 0.47% increase. Windows 7 is still growing strong though it was the slowest to grow with 0.34% increase. Windows XP’s share fell by 1.1% points.
