Yamaha enter multiroom audio devices market with MusicCast series
Multi room audio system is the thing these days. Gone are those days when you setup speaker system in one room and sit there every time you listen to music. Now, you setup speakers in all corners of your room and control all of them using smartphone and desktop applications. MusicCast is Yamaha’s multi room audio solution to take on the likes of Sonos, Bowers & Wilkins.
AV receivers, sound bars, speakers will be sold under MusicCast brand and users can use Wi-Fi network to stream music throughout home without wires. MusicCast devices can also be connected using Ethernet. Other ways include BLuetooth, blu-ray discs, CDs and even vinyl records. The MusicCast applications will be available for iOS and Android. The first line of products include WX-030 wireless speaker, YSP-1600 soundbar, SRT-1500 TV Speaker base, R-N602 network wireless receiver and wide range of AV receivers
