Oppo Announces R7s with 4GB of RAM and 5.5” AMOLED display
Oppo unveiled the R7s during GITEX in Dubai. Like other devices in the R7 series, the OPPO R7s features a metal unibody design that is simply stunning. Oppo’s latest phablet boasts a 5.5-inch AMOLED FHD (1920 x 1080) resolution display, Covering the display is a 2.5D piece of glass, with slight curves at the edges and bezels that are just 2.2mm thin. The device comes with Android 5.1
The R7s is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and Adreno 405 graphics. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. It has expandable storage using the built in Micro SD card tray, which doubles as a dual-SIM tray. The R7s is powered by a 3,070mAh battery which supports the company’s fast-charging VOOC Flash Charge technology. Oppo has built in ‘five levels of protection’ to the charging and battery to ensure the faster charging doesn’t damage any components. Oppo claims you will get 2 hours of talk time from just 5 minutes of charging.
It has a 13MP primary camera and 8MP front-facing camera. The R7s comes loaded with ColorOS2.1, based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, which has a few interesting software features. Those include ‘quick shake’ which automatically reorganizes icons on desktops and folders, and automatic cleaning, which removes unneeded and unused apps from memory.
Pricing and Availability:
The R7s will be released this November in Singapore, Australia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand, with Europe and the US set to get the phone in December. The price has not been revealed yet.
