ColorOS 6 : How to enable and use Emergency SOS

Emergency SoS feature in your phone lets you setup alarms and triggers that can activate alarm, send automated sms/call to emergency contacts with location detail. To setup Emergency SOS:

  • Go to [Settings] > [Emergency SOS].
  • Tap on Read terms and conditions.
  • Now tap on [Agree] to accept the terms & conditions.

First thing to do is to add couple of Emergency Numbers. These are the numbers your phone will dial in case of emergency.

To add Emergency numbers, tap on ‘Emergency Numbers’.

Tap on [Add Emergency Contact]. You can add a new number of add from your contacts list. Do note that you can note up to 3 cotnacts. You will also see public emergency helpline numbers for your region.

There are couple of settings that you need to activate now. First is [Press the Power Button Repeatedly for Emergency Call]. Once enabled, to make an emergency call, you have to press power key for 5 times.

[Press the Power Button Repeatedly for Emergency Call]. Toggle [Press the Power Button Repeatedly For Emergency Call] to enable pressing the power button 5 times in succession to initiate an SOS emergency call.
Make an emergency call. Just press the Power button 5 times in succession.

To activate sending SOS message,enable three toggles at the bottom of Emergency SOS settings page.
